A day trip to Half Moon Bay, Monterey, Carmel

Tuesday, my buddy photographer Kurty Wong and I decided to go for a day trip for location scouting. Such an amazing day. In the past a couple of years I have done so many road trips in Asia, alone – and I have said so many times “I wish I could share this beautiful scene with others”… it’s a bless to be a photographer that enables me to do so…

Kim & Dan – the most intimate and cozy Napa wedding| 5.16.2009

Kim and Dan are the kind of people whom you just cannot stop being so envious of – such a loving couple, living in such a beautiful place, with such a beautiful life ahead of them… Loved hanging out with them for their engagement session, for lunch with Kim, and finally photographing their wedding. It was such a warm day in Napa - it was really 98 degree outside! Dan started his speech by asking: “how many of you have melted?” And I saw many hands raised up. By the way, Dan and his daughter are such beautiful singer! Being a singer myself, I was so blown away. The whole wedding became a Johnson family concert…

Kim planned the whole wedding by herself, with minimal help with me and the catering manager Terry. The reward was obvious – it turned out such a beautiful and intimate wedding! Here are some images to share with you and you just have to agree with me…

And the slideshow is up click here to view…

Mr. and Mrs. Delgado to be – Rocio and Nick | Engagement session

On the day Nick proposed, he took Rocio to see the show “Teatro ZinZanni”. Nick told Rocio that he got a “small gift” for her, while the whole day he was super nervous and abnormal. Later on, with 2 dozens of roses, all family members present and videotaping, Nick kneeled down with a ring in his hand – how could Rocio resist?

I was like “awwww….”when I heard this – such a romantic scene! Who would say no… !when we were driving in the car on the e session day, Nick drove with one hand and the other hand holding Rocio at the whole time… I was like “awwwww….” again…

Well, the wedding will be at the Kohl Mansion. Will be a collaboration with the wonderful planner and designer Michelle Barrionuevo-Mazzini from MB wedding design. Congratulations to Rocio and Nick, look forward to your big day…

Stefanie & Rudy | Engagement session | Muir woods, Baker beach

I love going to places where I haven’t been and creating unique look photos for my beloved couples. Stephanie and Rudy had their first date at Davy’s Hall, though although we paid for the tickets we were not able to take photos inside – well, we got a good one in the hall way before we got in! Ta-dah… and lots of smile at Muir woods by the big trees…

Stefanie and Rudy are having their wedding at CASA REAL at Ruby Hill. Will work with the wonderful planner Janet Lash from the AVSO events. Will be a beautiful day… look forward to it!

Susana & David |Engagement session

It was in the colorful Mission District, San Francisco, where Susana and David took me to have their engagement session done. We also went to China beach with the Golden Gate Bridge as the back ground, though thought these are far more original.

Thailand – Ayutthaya

I have been thinking of posting these photos for a long time. I know, I know… will try to be better on posting… many of you have been waiting for my tibet photos… they are coming soon…. By the way, some of them were just purchased by the Singapore National Library.

Ayutthaya is only about an hour away from Bangkok by train. It was founded around A.D.1350 by a Prince of U-Thong. It used to be one of the richest cities in Asia by the 1600s, exporting rice, animal skins, ivory, etc. In 1767 the city was completely burned during the war.
